ATEX Solenoid valves for Hazardous Areas including ATEX EEx m II T4 (protection by encapsulation and thermal fuse) are commonly fitted with Magnet ATEX system 13/30 or 8/22 zone 21 or 22 coil, ATEX EEx ia IIC T4 or temperature class T6 (protection by insufficient energy to cause ignition) or explosion proof EEx D II B/C T1 to T6 that are typically standard coils encased within a metal enclosure to contain any ignition, heat or spark.
Typical applications include cryogenic liquid oxygen, PLG, argon, nitrogen or carbon dioxide at -196°C to high temperature saturated steam exceeding +350°C media pressures from vacuum to high pressure applications exceeding 500 bar. Below you will find a short list of some of the more commonly used hazardous area solenoid valves.
