Below are the more common isolated diaphragm and isolated piston solenoid valves for use with extremely aggressive and corrosive acids and alkali's.
These plastic or synthetic bodied solenoid valves are constructed in such a way that the aggressive media can only come into contact with the valve seal and the body, thus protecting the stainless steel internals such as AISI430F armature, AISI302 armature spring or the AISI304 core tube preventing corrosion and ensuring these solenoid valves work reliably no matter how corrosive or aggressive the media.
We recommend that you check media compatibility with the body and seal materials of the isolating solenoid valve construction before ordering. There is a comprehensive chemical material compatibility list that can be found here however we always recommend checking chemical resistance with our technical sales team or preferably with your chemical supplier. This is especially important for Branded Chemicals for which exact chemical composition is not known or just even for piece of mind. Keep in mind pressure ratings, port sizes, temperature and control voltage are also critical in ensuring the valves meets the requirements of the application. Helpful hint: all media must be free of debris and particle contaminants that might prevent the plastic solenoid valve from sealing or functioning correctly.
